Legal information pursuant to the EU Services Directive (Directive 2006/123/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 12 December 2006 on services in the internal market)

Legal status, services provided, trade register and VAT number

Poelman c.s. B.V. is a limited-liability company (besloten vennootschap), incorporated under Dutch law and registered in the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 17217106. Poelman c.s. B.V. provides legal services, including legal advice and litigation. The VAT number of Poelman c.s. B.V. is NL818978016B01.

Pricing

We charge fees which are market based. Our fees, office surcharges, disbursements and VAT are specified in our invoices. Invoices are normally sent monthly, but exceptions are possible. The payment term for invoices is 14 days days as from the invoice date, unless we make other arrangements.

General terms and conditions, applicable law and competent courts

All legal relationships are subject to the general terms and conditions of Poelman c.s. B.V., which can be consulted at our website and will be provided free of charge upon request. Dutch law is applicable to all legal relationships and the courts in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes, without prejudice to our right to submit a dispute to any other competent court.

Insurance

Our lawyers are insured in accordance with the rules of their respective professional organisation under a professional indemnity policy from Allianz Nederland Schadeverzekering, part of Allianz Benelux N.V. (Dutch Chamber of Commerce 59395435, PO Box, 3000 AT Rotterdam, The Netherlands). More information can be found in the insurance declaration.

Complaints

If you are not satisfied with our services, we suggest you let the lawyer involved know. If you are not comfortable doing so, or this does not achieve the desired result, you can file a complaint in accordance with our Complaints Procedure, notwithstanding the possibility to submit your claim to the competent court. You can issue disciplinary complaints with the Dean of the Amsterdam Bar (for contact details please see below).

Professional organisations/rules

Our lawyers are registered with the following professional organisations and are subject to the respective professional rules (including codes of conduct) of these organisations. These rules and aplicable laws are accessible through the relevant organisation's website or upon request from that organisation. The lawyers working at Poelman c.s.
